RN Nurse, Healthcare Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Pediatric Nurse
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards. Duties include floating to the entire Outpatient Services area which includes:
Day surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic and hospital needs of conscious sedation for special procedures. Use skills in nursing assessment to include peri-operative education and care, recognizing post anesthesia and post-operative complications. Facilitates discharge and transportation of patients to outlying nursing units or home. Participates in 24 hour call rotation.
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Current Washington State RN license;
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR and PALS certification cards on hire.
- Prefer at least one year experience in a hospital or outpatient surgery clinic.
