Production Associate

Overview

Family owned and operated for over 75 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are recruiting for Production Associates at Picsweet's Clarksville, AR facility. The Production Associate will be responsible for production of quality food products manufactured under clean and safe conditions. This is a safety sensitive position. The role will coordinate with other staff and supervisors to ensure production meets budget, scheduling, and quality standards.

• Ensure and monitor all quality and food safety systems are in place for the production of quality products manufactured under clean and safe conditions.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to food and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, HARPC, DOT, GMPs, Housekeeping, Allergen Segregation, etc.
• Know and observe safety, security, quality, sanitation, and personal hygiene requirements and lead by example on the processing floor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• 3+ months experience in a food production role, preferred.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of alertness and concentration while performing safety-sensitive tasks.
• Functional understanding of food plant processes and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence, motivate, and lead within a team environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team without being disruptive.
• Bilingual skills helpful, but not required.
• Functional knowledge to apply corrective actions, quality and food safety procedures correctly in times of failure.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions, non-climate-controlled areas, and/or a 38-degree environment.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, and walking on hard surfaces.
• Requires repetitive motion with arms and hands.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent attendance is required.
