A General Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles.

Responsibilities include:

Receive and carry out Repair Orders as dispatched

Perform diagnostic services and troubleshoot to determine repair needs

Provide labor, time, and parts estimates for repair services

Perform high-quality and efficient repair services for various automotive systems, including engine, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning, in accordance with center and factory standards

Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete

Complete all required paperwork and documentation for repair services

Maintain an organized, clean workspace and accounting for dealership and personal tools at all times

Communicate efficiently with Service Advisors and Parts Department employees

Participate in ongoing training programs to develop expertise in industry-leading technologies and processes

Skills and Requirements:

3-5+ years of experience as a technician (OEM or independent shop experience)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Driver’s License in applicable state and a good driving record

Proficient in basic computer skills

Candidate must have their own basic automotive tool set

Professional appearance and work ethic

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Strong mechanical & electrical diagnostic aptitude and willingness to learn with ongoing training

ASE Certifications are strongly desired

Physical strength and stamina to perform required repairs
