Customer Service Representative

Derby Dinner is a fast-paced, guest-focused dinner theatre known for exceptional hospitality, high-quality productions, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for friendly, polished, and reliable individuals to join our Ticket Office team. The Ticket Office Customer Service Representative is the first point of contact for many of our guests. This role is responsible for assisting patrons with ticket purchases, answering questions about shows and seating, resolving customer concerns, and providing outstanding service both in-person and over the phone.

Accuracy, professionalism, and a warm, customer-focused approach are essential.

• Process ticket orders in-person, online, and over the phone using our ticketing system.
• Assist guests with exchanges, refunds (per policy), membership benefits, and gift certificates.
• Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming productions, dining offerings, and special events.
• Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally, and escalate issues to the Ticket Office Manager when needed.
• Prepare and print daily reports, seating charts, and order summaries.
• Support lobby operations during performances, including directing guests and offering general assistance.
• Accurately handle cash, card payments, and end-of-day balancing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest‑friendly Ticket Office environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support theatre operations.

• 1 year of previous customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills with a professional phone demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computer systems, spreadsheets, ticketing software, and basic office equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable accepting payments and balancing at the end of the shift.
• Ability to handle difficult or emotional customer interactions with patience and empathy.
• Must be available to work weekends, noon to 8 pm, and/or 3 pm to 8 pm.
• 10-20 hours per week.
