Overview
The member assistant – cart attendant role supports a great member experience by helping keep the parking area and carts available, assisting members with purchases, loading items into vehicles, and providing friendly service in a fast-paced environment.
Base pay range is $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr the range shown is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities- Ensure a well-kept parking lot and carts are ready and available; assist members with purchases; help members load their vehicles; and maintain a positive member experience.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility; conduct safety-related tasks and report unsafe conditions.
- Provide member service by acknowledging needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, processing purchases, and answering questions; organize and maintain carts/flatbeds and ensure availability.
- Follow company policies and procedures; uphold ethics and integrity; participate in continuous improvement and adapt to change.
- Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers and coworkers, communicating progress, and addressing opportunities for improvement.
- Handle pickup orders by contacting members about delays, notifying when products are unavailable, and offering alternatives; ensure items are packaged according to policies and prepared for pickup; resolve member issues and concerns; promote products and services.
- Maintain facility safety, perform safety sweeps, handle merchandise per procedures, and report unsafe situations to management.
- Assist members with purchases and payments; use cash registers; locate and organize merchandise; zone designated areas; resolve issues; promote products and services; maintain availability of carts/flatbeds; assist with transporting items.
- Adhere to company policies and standards of ethics and integrity; apply Open Door Policy in business processes.
- Complete tasks by using policies and resources; collaborate with stakeholders; manage priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; seek opportunities for improvement; adapt to feedback.
