Position: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II – Gene

B. Glick Company

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the 300‑unit Fairington and Colonial Village apartment communities in Clarksville, IN.

Reimbursement: A one‑time $1,000 hiring bonus will be paid after six months of employment.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the exterior and interior of the property and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all maintenance requests efficiently and courteously.
  • Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
  • Repair, install, and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, and dishwashers.
  • Repair, install, and maintain basic appliances including refrigerator, range, disposal, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
  • Service, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Repair carpeting and tile.
  • Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots, including snow removal.
  • Repair and maintain building exteriors and interior common areas.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities.
  • Clean and housekeep common areas.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for market‑ready condition, which may include cleaning and painting.
  • Provide resident support and respond to after‑office hours emergency calls.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field is desirable.
  • Must maintain EPA designation/certification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on emergency call‑in duty.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English.
