Overview

Clarksville, TN. LG Electronics is seeking an R&D Engineer to join our Home Appliance Manufacturing team in Clarksville, TN. The R&D Engineer will contribute to development and manufacturing of Home Appliances, conducting research and development based on analytical thinking and market understanding. The role involves project-based work in R&D, including cross-functional collaboration to identify, review, and resolve problems from customer and production perspectives, and to anticipate and prevent design issues across production, manufacturing, and sales phases.

Salary: $63,000 Annually

• Coaching and support to ensure design and performance from the customer’s perspective
• Effective deployment and management of resources needed to achieve project goals
• Resolve production and customer-facing problems through proactive analysis and collaboration
• Maintain continuous communication with internal staff or teams for successful projects
• Define product goals and plan/manage resources to meet deadlines
• Design and develop products from concept through design, qualification, and production
• Use CAD models, 3-D surface models, and physical prototypes to convey design intent
• Formulate and adhere to standards and procedures for product development

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering required
• Preferred experience with Washing Machines (not required)
• In-depth knowledge of Solid Works 3D/2D CAD software
• Exposure to manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
• Knowledge of dimensional and tolerance standards; experience in tolerance analysis of complex assemblies
