* JOB DESCRIPTION:

**** SUMMARY OF POSITION
** Centerstone is seeking therapist with experience treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team.

** ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Develop therapeutic rapport with clients – Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.
* Diagnostic Assessment – Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).
* Concurrent Documentation – Completes documentation within 24 hours.
* Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.
* Treatment Planning – Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.
* Therapeutic Interventions – Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
* Monitoring - Completing urine drug screens to monitor client's progress in treatment and inform treatment.
* Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
* Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads.  This includes telephones and face to face intervention.
* Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
*** Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products
* Coordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this role
* Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.
* Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.
** QUALIFICATIONS*
* ** Education Requirements
*** A Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields:
Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH Counseling
* License-eligible in respective discipline preferred.
** OR
* ** Applicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria:  + Completion of at least
** 24 graduate-level semester hours
** in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.  + Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas:
- Clinical treatment and treatment planning    - Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders    - Psychopathology    - Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting
** Experience Requirements
*** A minimum of
** one (1) year
** of experience providing treatment to individuals with mental health disorders is required.  Substance use disorders experience preferred.
* Internship experience may be applied toward the minimum experience requirement for recent graduates.
** Certification/Licensure
** Must possess a valid driver's license and meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the organization's vehicle insurance policy.
