Description:
The Registered Nurse will take care of all aspects of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The RN will also be responsible for nursery and postpartum care. BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required. The shift is from 19:00 to 07:00, with rotations on weekends. Candidates must have experience in maintaining safe patient ratios of 2:1. The RN will provide discharge teaching to parents and support breastfeeding.
Skills in administering blood products, managing pain, and monitoring newborns are essential. Experience with high-risk deliveries and the use of external fetal monitoring is preferred. The RN must be skilled in interpreting fetal heart rate patterns and managing postpartum hemorrhage. Care for neonates and infants will be included as part of the responsibilities. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various services.
