Associate Asset Protection - Security

FT Associate Asset Protection - Security - 0348 at Giant Food. Asset Protection Associates are responsible for protecting store assets by investigating the loss of assets including merchandise, money and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues for stores in the area of responsibility.
• Tours stores daily, identifying deficiencies and executing corrective action as necessary.
• Maintain awareness of high risk areas to reduce merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and execute shrink reduction strategy drivers during store visits; check rotation, backroom organization and other follow up areas as assigned by supervision.
• Review shrink reports and assist in addressing issues and opportunities in assigned stores.
• Assist in implementing and communicating company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs.
• Ensure store environment is safe from theft and provides a secure destination to shop.
• Ensure stores are secure for Associate safety from theft internally and externally.

• High School Diploma
• Driver's License and transportation required - travel throughout multiple stores in a District and/or Region required
• Up to one year of related experience
• Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation related information
• Basic MS Office skills
