Gaudenzia is one of the largest nonprofit providers of treatment to people with substance use and co‑occurring disorders in the nation. A successful Mental Health Therapist enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and doesn’t shy away from honest and caring — yet sometimes difficult — conversations. This position is for you if you’re able to treat others with dignity, compassion, and respect, even in life’s most challenging moments.

• Evaluate, treat, and diagnose clients who have a mental health disorder or dually‑diagnosed.
• Schedule or assist with the scheduling of clinical and/or support staff to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
• Continue special training in areas designated by the Supervisor.
• Keep records such as bio‑psycho‑history & assessments, evaluations and keep client case records current according to established guidelines.
• Be a role model for pro‑social behaviors.
• Be available for weekend and/or evening duty.
• Be responsible for a full client caseload and act as a lead counselor.
• Support and demonstrate adherence to Gaudenzia’s Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and all personnel policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for re‑entry residents or others needing advanced care.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and appropriate professional certificates and credentials.
• Be responsible for orientation of new staff members when the Supervisor is not available.
• Moderate special groups such as marathons, extended groups, family meetings, workshops or presentations.
• All other duties as described in the Unit Unique Job Description or as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Must possess a Master’s Degree and an independent license to practice such as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCADC.
