Mission

Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:

    Minimum of one year in a residential behavioral health program setting for individuals with a minimum of 60 college credits. Applicants with a high school diploma or GED must have at least 3 years in such settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean 3‑year driving record preferred.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, agencies, and the public.
  • Ability to successfully work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the supervision and training of recovery support professionals.
  • Support development of daily scheduling for proper staff coverage during all shifts.
  • Ensure the maintenance of an accurate daily census.
  • Maintain driver’s license, transport, and escort clients with medical appointments or other business outside the facility as approved by staff.
  • Screen clients’ personal belongings upon entry to the facility.
  • Deny access to unauthorized persons.
  • Monitor client movement in and out of the facility and account for their whereabouts.
  • Maintain and monitor client sign‑out book.
  • Coordinate chores, fresh‑air breaks, and other in‑house activities per program schedule.
  • Conduct and document random client and room searches as directed.
  • Facilitate approved client request slips including phone calls and visitation.
  • Monitor medication administration, urinalysis/drug screening, and breathalyzers as directed.
  • Conduct client orientation sessions and seminars; complete activity sheets in electronic health record system.
  • Screen and process new admissions and their belongings.
  • Monitor and document hourly runs and client movement in communication log.
  • Conduct regular room checks to ensure clients are in their rooms per program schedule.
  • Communicate medical needs to nursing supervisor and nursing staff.
  • Conduct weekly full‑facility safety/security checks, fire drills, and maintain operational safety equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly inspections.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and safety through regular sanitation procedures.
  • Complete written reports and documentation as required, including electronic incident reports.
  • Aid in therapeutic community activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Director or designee.
