Industrial Electrician

Overview

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for a local client in Clayton, DE. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

• Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Perform tests and calibrate electronic equipment.
• Proficient skills required in the use of VOM meter, AMP meter and basic testing equipment.
• Assure all guards are in place prior to operating.
• Knowledge of PLC’s and AC-DC drives, motor drives.
• Furnish own tools common to this trade.
• Properly dispose of waste materials.
• Report any product, questionable in quality, to the Manager, Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance personnel immediately.
• Keep all areas clean and orderly at all times.
• Adheres to common safety practices and rules; including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
• Adheres to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
• Must not leave assigned area, unless given permission by the Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, food safety, food security, product quality, plant security, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous electrical experience from training in the field
• Ability to read, write and understand the English language
