Independently perform in‑field equipment service, diagnostics, and repairs by operating a mobile service vehicle and traveling to customer locations. Candidates must have a strong work ethic to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and serve as an in‑field representative providing service solutions.

• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Perform onsite service for customer units.
• Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conduct or support customer clinics.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in the field as required.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Document diagnostics and repairs thoroughly and submit information on time.
• Participate in John Deere University and Dealer Training programs as required.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for the job.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.

• Experience performing service repairs and consistent achievement of performance metrics.
• Experience using specialized tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on off‑road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostics.
• Basic computer skills and experience in Service Advisor or similar diagnostic software.
• Team collaboration and effective verbal and written communication.
• Adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent;
  Associate’s degree preferred.
• Current or obtainable DOT Medical Certificate (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old.
