Salary: $5,000 sign‑on bonus (expires 01/31/26)

Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer‑owned Compact Construction equipment and may also be asked to perform the same on Agriculture and lawn & garden equipment, depending on the need. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision, and possess communication skills to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous manner.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a self‑motivated individual to work for an established dealership.

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment, turf equipment and AMS products, focusing on Compact Construction equipment.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Document diagnostics and repairs thoroughly on work orders and submit information on time.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Conduct and support customer clinics.
• Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for skill development.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for job duties.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Participate each month in a branch on‑call as needed.

• Preferably one year of experience performing service repairs.
• Experience with basic computer functions.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Skill in performing advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of compact construction equipment and agricultural equipment.
• Basic fuel system knowledge for both gasoline and diesel engines.
• Must possess an adequate tool set to perform job responsibilities.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate Card or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
