Director, Business Transformation, Advancement Systems - University Advancement Position Summary
The Director, Business Transformation will report to the Executive Director, Business Transformation, and be responsible for strategy development, implementation, and execution of key business transformation initiatives across the organization to deliver innovative, effective, and efficient solutions for Advancement operations. Additional responsibilities include change management support and collaboration with stakeholders to identify, design, and implement changes to processes, policies, and systems that align with Advancement’s business strategy and vision.

PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Works with project leadership in defining and managing scope, timelines, and overall activities related to all assigned project and functional areas.
- Guides and makes decisions on system functionality for assigned projects and functional area(s).
- Leads and motivates project teams to complete project deliverables. Coordinates activities with other Washington University and vendor resources.
- Leads business process analysis to review processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and data quality, areas for standardization, and potential gaps in functionality.
- Mediate and facilitate discussions around system configuration and business processes that impact multiple functional areas to ensure optimal solutions.
- Leads implementation of redesigned business processes, including related system enhancements through defining configuration work, page layouts, workflows, automation, security roles, and user testing.
- Facilitates and/or participates in discussions regarding policy and procedure changes for assigned projects and functional area(s) as needed.
- Assesses reporting and analytics needs for assigned projects and functional area(s), elicits reporting and dashboard requirements, and manages reporting and dashboard testing.
- Provides input on integration needs for assigned projects and functional area(s) and oversees integrations testing.
- Provide guidance and support for change management to ensure documentation of implications of related change and inform strategies to prepare staff for forthcoming changes to minimize challenges and aid in high adoption of new systems and processes.
- Informs learning plan for new functionality and business processes, collaborating with the Advancement Systems Learning team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Fundraising Operations, Alumni Relations, Financial Operations, University or Large Institution Business Processes, Data Management, Customer Relations, or Business Process Analysis (10 years).

St. Louis, MO. Targeted hiring range: $96,000 – $130,000.

Salary Range$96,000 – $169,300 per year.
