Key Responsibilities Clinical / Surgical Support- Assist the oral surgeon during procedures, including extractions, implants, and IV sedation.
- Prepare operatories, sterilize instruments, and maintain surgical equipment.
- Monitor vitals, assist with anesthesia support, and provide post‑op instructions.
- Maintain accurate charting and follow infection control and OSHA protocols.
- Greet patients, manage check‑in/check‑out, and provide excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
- Verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and explain financial expectations.
- Answer phones, collect co‑pays, process payments, and assist with billing workflows.
- Maintain organized patient records, consent forms, and correspondence.
- Support patient follow‑ups and light outreach as needed.
- Dental assisting experience required; oral surgery experience strongly preferred.
- Surgical Assistant certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current CPR/AED certification; IV sedation experience a plus.
- Experience with dental software, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
