Focus:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Buyer to join our Purchasing team. In this role, you will support sourcing activities, evaluate bids, ensure timely procurement of materials, and collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Inventory Control, and other departments. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient purchasing operations and ensuring the organization receives the best overall value from suppliers.

• Convert purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders.
• Evaluate production material requirements and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Determine monthly metal requirements based on production schedules.
• Resolve blocked invoices.
• Send expedited reports to suppliers to confirm on-time deliveries.
• Monitor and track supplier delivery performance.
• Obtain certificates of origin for purchased items when required.
• Coordinate Non-Conformance Material Report (NCMR) actions with Quality, Inventory Control, and suppliers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, MRP systems, and ISO standards is preferred.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication (verbal and written) skills. .

• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
