Job Overview
Provide primary health care in specialty areas such as pediatrics, OB/GYN and adult medicine.

Essential Functions- Perform diagnostic, health assessment, and patient care management duties.
- Review patient charts and follow up.
- Provide education to patients and staff.
- Work under the direction and consultation of a physician.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse registration with advanced training and experience acquired through a Nurse Practitioner program in a relevant specialty area and three years of related experience.
- State of Missouri RN licensure (some positions).
- Certification as Adult Medical Nurse Practitioner (ANP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (some positions).
- Certification as Obstetrical and Gynecological Nurse Practitioner or equivalent (some positions).
- Certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (some positions).
- Certification as Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner (some positions).
- Certifications as Diabetic Educator by the American Diabetic Association (some positions).
- Document of Recognition as an Advance Practice Nurse (APN) by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (some positions).
A selection committee will evaluate qualifications, conduct interviews, and require a qualification score of 70 or more. The top five candidates will be certified for appointment. Successful candidates will complete a conviction questionnaire and a drug screening performed by the County.
COVID-19 Vaccination PolicyAll newly hired employees must provide proof of COVID‑19 vaccination prior to starting service. Acceptable proof includes CDC vaccination cards or other documentation. Employees with valid medical or religious exemptions must wear facial coverings and submit to weekly testing. Inquiries about exemptions may be made at the Department of Public Health Office of Human Resources.
