• Instruct group swim classes as assigned by the Aquatic Supervisor; evaluate programs and make recommendations for improvements to the Aquatic Supervisor.
• Deliver a safe and excellent customer service experience to residents, members and patrons while enforcing and adhering to existing policies and procedures.
• Work cooperatively with all Aquatics and facility personnel to promote customer satisfaction with programs and facilities with effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Act as a public relations representative for the Aquatics Department and The Center of Clayton.
• Inform supervisor of all positive and negative information regarding the physical facility, aquatics staff or general public.
• Monitor attendance policies and keep patrons informed of class information and registration deadlines.
• Ensure program safety by monitoring the class area and notifying the program supervisor of any maintenance or safety concerns, as well as documenting accidents or incidents.
• Utilize program equipment and supplies and creatively develop new uses for enhancing instruction; secure and maintain any discipline-specific certifications as necessary.
• Attend all staff meetings or training sessions as required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certification from a nationally recognized organization or a minimum of two years' work experience in the area of expertise.
• Prefer experience in instruction and proven communication skills.
• Must possess and maintain applicable discipline-specific certifications;
  Water Fitness Certification or discipline-specific certification from a regionally accepted organization as proof of competency.
