2nd Shift Production Operator (Collection, Packaging, Inspection)
Monday - Friday
3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. plus overtime as needed
* Pay for this position is $22 an hour*
- Collect and package product in compliance with customer and quality specifications.
- Perform setup, changeover and initial line clearance for assigned production line.
- Inspect product for defects and deviations using measuring devices (i.e. dial caliper, gauges, micrometer, etc.).
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain complete and accurate production records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
