Commercial HVAC Service Technician

MSS Solutions, LLC is looking for a Service Technician – HVAC

• Install, troubleshoot and start up commercial HVAC equipment, including DX units up to 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, water‑source heat pumps, mini‑splits, electric motor controls, light commercial furnaces, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers and air compressors.
• Maintain detailed logs of HVAC equipment conditions such as refrigerant and electrical circuits.
• Drive to and from customer sites as needed.
• Communicate regularly with Team Lead, Coordination Staff, Sales Staff and customers.
• Complete assigned tasks with minimal call‑backs.
• Submit all paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as required by business volume and needs.
• Maintain company tools and the company vehicle.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, heating components and air distribution systems.
• Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
• 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manuals and written directions.
• Strong written reporting skills.
• Reliability: show up on time, ready to work and in uniform.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Successful background check and drug test.
• Physical demands: occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing and climbing; constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping; vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs; classified as very heavy physical demand.
• Material handling: frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and constant lifting to 25 lbs; classified as very heavy physical demand.

Ability to abide by basic safe work practices is required.

Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, atmospheric conditions, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and working at high or exposed locations.
