Job Opportunity:
Diesel Maintenance Trailer Technician (B)
Vehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed.
- 2nd Shift: Mon‑Fri, 8:00am‑4:30pm
- Pay rate: $27.00 – $31.50, depending on skillset and experience

- Perform some electrical, mechanical diagnostic, and repair of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel‑powered equipment.
- Perform various forms of equipment repair including drive chain components, automatic brake systems, etc., through an intermediate level of experience and system knowledge.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory, research, resolve all discovered inventory discrepancies and notify maintenance management when a resolution is not available.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse.
- Perform other tasks as determined and requested by management.
- Work in the Maintenance software system to record data, ensure DOT compliance, and ensure follow‑up of return orders.
- Serve as a mentor for Vehicle Technicians C, as needed; may perform other duties as assigned.
- Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills.
- Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills.
- Understanding of tire inflation systems.
- Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires.
- Basic diagnostic tool skills.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks.
- Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards.
- Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions for tools, equipment, machinery and materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment.
- Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors under working conditions.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to vary the start and end times, possibly including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills.
- Each technician needs to provide their own tools.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge acquired through 3‑5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain DOT Med card.
- D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
