We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Account Manager to join our team in the metrology and precision measurement industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, calibration, and customer relationship management.
About the RoleThe Technical Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing new business, managing customer accounts, and delivering solutions—including precision measurement equipment, calibration services, and related technical offerings. You will work directly with manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, automotive, and quality‑focused clients to understand their measurement needs and provide value‑driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Grow and manage customer accounts within a defined territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate qualified leads.
- Deliver onsite product demos, technical presentations, and solution proposals.
- Recommend metrology equipment such as CMMs, scales, gages, torque / force tools, and optical systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams.
- Prepare quotes, respond to RFPs, and negotiate within defined pricing guidelines.
- Maintain accurate customer relationship records and forecast pipeline activity.
- Support customers post‑sale to ensure satisfaction and long‑term retention.
- Working knowledge of dimensional measurement, calibration processes, and ISO / IEC 17025.
- 3–5+ years of sales or account management experience in metrology, industrial equipment, or manufacturing.
- Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience selling metrology or precision measurement equipment.
- Background in calibration labs or ISO‑accredited environments.
- Existing relationships within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
