Adjunct Culinary Arts Instructor

Basic Function:
- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
Required Duties:
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field
- Any bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field
- The equivalent of the above (description omitted)
- Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
- Possession of a Serv Safe® Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification
- Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service
