F-16 Avionics Equipment Specialist (Foreign Military Sales)
Join Sumaria Systems, LLC as a Senior Avionics Equipment Specialist to support the F‑16 program office on Foreign Military Sales.
Responsibilities- Support program requirements, including database systems such as D043/D143C, IDTODS, FIN, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System, FSS, ETIMS, F‑16 OCM, Haystack, and other related databases to identify problem areas for assigned systems and items.
- Conduct studies, reviews, and analyses of technical problems or malfunctions affecting assigned equipment from sources such as DRs, AFTO Form 22s, MSTG/SSG, telephone calls, IDEAS, and aircraft mishaps.
- Evaluate corrective actions for technical adequacy, economic feasibility, and implementation methods (e.g., TCTO or TO change).
- Assist program IPTs, collaborating with engineering, program management, other equipment specialists, lead and chief engineers, and civilian/military leadership across the F‑16 Division/FB Directorate, other AFLCMC directorates, AFLCMC headquarters, AFRL, HQ AFMC, ACC, DoD, EPAFs, prime weapon system contractor, subcontractors, and other government and private sector personnel.
- Participate in F‑16 Consolidated Board, F‑16 JMCCT/B, and F‑16 System Safety Groups, and attend formal and informal F‑16 program reviews.
- Assistance to government equipment specialists, integrators, and engineers on special research projects and support USAF PM tasks.
- Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/technical data verification; report findings, kit issues, and corrective actions, and make recommendations to the responsible engineer or PM.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure compatibility and adherence to operational and technical requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for avionics systems (radar, controls and displays, data bus, communication, navigation, identification, electronic warfare, sensor systems, and other components) and develop improvements to resolve fielded issues.
- Act as technical content manager for avionics systems and TOs, preparing TCTOs and TOs for field and depot level maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing of the complete weapon system.
- Participate in the technical verification team and pre/post‑publication review group to verify technical data accuracy and correct sequencing.
- Minimum 10 years F‑16 Aircraft Avionics experience (development, integration, and sustainment).
- Bachelor’s Degree.
