Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Associate Non-Destructive Testing Engineer – Level 1 to join our team in Clearfield, UT.

• Reviews engineering designs and drawings to determine the correct NDT method description for the critical defect size and type of material being inspected.
• Prepare inspection documentation to identify test parameters and requirements.
• Processes change control documents and supports Material Review Board dispositions.
• Supports production in using the machines and assists maintenance personnel as needed when troubleshooting and repairing the equipment.
• Participates in R&D programs to improve system capabilities and bring new ideas & technology into projects and pursuits.
• Develops and produces formal customer reports containing recommendations, computer-generated graphics, plots, tables, summaries and comparisons. Maintains & archives electronic and hard copy inspection data and reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

• Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a minimum of one Level 3 certification in accordance with NAS 410 in Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT), or Radiography (RT). Records of certification and experience will be required.

• Working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop collaborative relationships with all levels within the organization and outside.
• Ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction, can multi-task and is a self-starter.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma tools.
• Background in NDT of Aerospace products.
• Experience investigating, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective measures.

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 – $89,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
