Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP)
At Northrop Grumman, we offer a Safely Transition program that allows service members to gain civilian work experience in their last 6 months of military service. The program is an approved Skill Bridge program under DoD Instruction and provides up to 180 days of a full‑time internship with no compensation from the company while the participant continues active duty pay.
Responsibilities for this internship position are:
- Work on‑site at the host company in an entry to mid‑level role, training for a 40‑hour week.
- Support a range of job functions that provide foundational industry knowledge.
Goals: Provide transition‑ready training and create a pipeline for full‑time hires.
Objectives: Deliver professional development, networking, and training on leadership principles and business and technical fundamentals.
Outcome: Enable the service member to join the Northrop Grumman team as a full‑time employee.
DoD Skill Bridge Eligibility:
- Has served at least 180 days on active duty.
- Is within 12 months of separation or retirement.
- Will receive an honorable discharge.
- Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS.
- Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months.
- Has written authorization and approval from the Unit Commander prior to the start of the internship.
Location: Clearfield, Utah (onsite).
We are seeking a self‑motivated, proactive, and goal‑oriented Principal Project Manager for our Global Supply Chain team. We offer flexible work arrangements, a 9/80 schedule with alternate Friday off, and a collaborative team environment.
Essential Functions:
- Establish and maintain proposal metrics, drive insights for leadership, and complete other operations and integrations project management duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the initiation, development, and completion of responsive proposals for RFPs, along with associated deliverables such as RFI responses, capability statements, white papers, & briefings.
- Lead collaborative proposal kick‑offs with program and functional stakeholders to communicate strategy, requirements, and schedule.
- Develop proposal schedules and lead cross‑functional teams to meet commitments.
- Conduct rhythmic portfolio reviews to maintain status and dates.
- Collaborate with business management to develop NCTA cost estimates and track NCTA funds.
- Ensure compliance with proposal knowledge‑management processes and maintain a centralized proposal library.
- Support development and refinement of templates and standardized processes to streamline proposal development.
Salary Range: $81,400 – $122,000
Basic Qualifications (Level
3):
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s Degree with 3 years, or 9 years of related experience in Supply Chain, Project Management, Captures, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Scheduling, Cost Analysis, Subcontracts Administration, Procurement, Business Management, or Contracts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Subcontracts and/or procurement experience.
- Supplier management and pricing/estimating experience.
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing experience.
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 – $. The above range is a general guideline and may vary based on experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
