Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Aircraft Painter Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a full‑time position located in Clearfield, UT.
Essential Functions- Prepares for coating by masking, sanding, and prepping aircraft sections and components.
- Mixes coatings and identifies proper spraying consistency.
- Performs detail touch‑ups.
- Coordinates processes for painting production parts.
- Uses chemicals to complete scope of work.
- Obtains half & full face respirator certification.
- Uses manufacturing shop controls and systems.
- Wears appropriate PPE on the shop floor.
- Recommends and implements continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.
- High school diploma and minimum of 4 years of painting/surface prep experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environments.
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.
- Access small confined spaces and work in enclosed environments.
- Pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.
- Obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance with program access.
- Work rotating shifts as needed.

- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Low‑observable coating experience or courses.
- Completion of an A&P certificate program.
- High school diploma and minimum of 6 years of painting/surface prep experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environments.
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.
- Access small confined spaces and work in enclosed environments.
- Pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.
