Schedule: 3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Pay: $12 – $14 per hour
Summary: The Server ensures residents enjoy a pleasant, positive dining experience by providing top‑quality customer service, maintaining dining areas, seating residents, and serving meals.
EssentialJob Duties
- Takes written food orders and serves meals to residents, family members, and visitors efficiently and courteously – 100%
- Assists residents with meal/menu selections – 30%
- Uses proper etiquette while waiting tables, clearing used dishes, etc. – 100%
- Reviews residents’ dietary needs as outlined by Supervisor – 5%
- Tracks resident attendance at meals and reports to the appropriate person – 5%
- Ensures all residents are greeted and seated properly and welcomes new residents – 30%
- Maintains a clean, sanitary dining area and complies with all food handling policies – 100%
- Displays tact and friendliness with residents, teammates, and guests – 100%
- Supports community marketing through positive interactions, grooming, and dress standards – 100%
- Serves, cleans, resets tables, and returns dishes to kitchen – 10%
- Performs other duties assigned by Supervisors or the Executive Director – 10%
- Clean and set up dining and food service areas, restock condiments – 10%
- Assists other kitchen and dining services to ensure a positive dining experience – 100%
- Reports safety or equipment issues to Supervisor – 100%
Job Duties
- Breaks down deliveries, puts away stock, washes dishes as needed
- Delivers meals to resident rooms and collects trays after service
- Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn
- Age 18+ or possess proper work permit and authorization documentation
- Background clearance as required by government regulations
- Completed health screening and a negative TB test within 6 months (or 7 days of employment)
- Basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar cart, trays, heating cart, etc.)
- Mindful of resource use to minimize waste and misuse
- Professional demeanor with personnel, residents, family, visitors, vendors, and the public
- Completed the dining room training course with CCG
- Meets and maintains all state‑specific regulatory requirements
- Mobile and able to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motion
- Move intermittently throughout the workday and the community
- Lift/carry up to 40 lbs and push/pull carts as needed
