Travel RN - Medical ICU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical ICU position requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of ICU experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the State of California
• Current BLS certification following American Heart Association guidelines required
• Current ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required within six months of hire
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• CCRN certification encouraged
• Basic computer skills required
• No candidates with a prior negative licensure action will be considered

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical ICU unit of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule of 3x12s, working Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat from 0600 to 1830
• No call responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and implement patient care specific to the age of the ICU patient population served
• Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Demonstrate flexibility in a changing clinical environment while maintaining quality and effectiveness in work habits
• Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect
• Required to comply with all facility vaccination requirements as a condition of employment
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Accepts local candidates with no radius rule, as local rates match travel rates
