Senior Accountant

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Our client — a respected provider of HR, risk management, and payroll services — is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and insight within their expanding insurance division.

In this role, you’ll go beyond reporting numbers — you’ll shape the company’s financial integrity. Working with both STAT and GAAP standards, you’ll analyze complex data, strengthen controls, and partner with leadership to enhance efficiency and decision‑making.

• Prepare and analyze journal entries, general ledger accounts, and financial statements.
• Record earned, assumed, and ceded premiums accurately.
• Complete NAIC filings and reinsurance settlement statements.
• Manage multi‑state premium tax filings and reconciliations.
• Conduct variance and trend analyses to inform business strategy.
• Ensure full GAAP and SAP compliance and drive process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience (including 2+ years insurance and 2+ years statutory).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Quick Books, APL, or Clearwater Analytics a plus.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and communication skills.
• LOMA or similar insurance credentials preferred.
