Payroll​/Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

HMC Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Payroll / Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and vendor payments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Maintain payroll records and handle employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits
• Process and code vendor invoices weekly, ensuring proper approvals and account coding
• Prepare and process weekly check runs
• Assist management with onboarding and offboarding employees, including payroll setup and final pay
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoices and payment status
• Support special projects and provide administrative assistance as needed

Ideal

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in payroll processing (experience with Paylocity preferred)
• Familiarity with integrated accounting systems (
  Great Plains experience is a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
