The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are happy to announce a full-time Payroll Clerk position filled with many exciting opportunities! In this role, you'll contribute to the mission of Frank Crum by keying employee data and processing basic payrolls for various sized business throughout the United States.

Reviews and processes auto payrolls within established deadlines.

Reviews and enters new hire applications with accuracy and completeness following Frank Crum, federal, state and local rules and regulations, to include both paper and electronic onboarding, communicating with clients as needed. This includes reviewing I9s, ensuring accuracy and completeness when Frank Crum is the E-verify agent of record.

Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system, which includes employee rate changes, payroll deductions, address changes, tax updates, DD changes, terminations, accrual plans, and other information relating to payroll with accuracy, communicating with clients as needed

Prepares and electronically files employee documents.

Answers payroll department calls, monitors payroll voicemail inbox, assists with answering basic client questions and transfers calls as needed.

Assists clients with commonly used HRIS system functions.

Compiles reports for clients as requested.

Assists with monitoring the clerk queue and processes tasks in the order they are received.

Assists with email and phone coverage for other Clerks as needed.

Assists with processing auto payrolls during planned and unplanned absences across all payroll teams.

Performs self-audits of auto payroll, particularly when tax limits have not been reached

Assists with data cleanup and/or data entry as needed for special projects and system conversions.

Demonstrates professionalism and provides exceptional service and support to both clients and internal employees.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of FLSA, state, and local payroll rules and regulations.

Demonstrates basic knowledge of Frank Crum polices and core software systems.

Demonstrates basic understanding of all paid time off accrual types, including state rules and regulations, and how to properly apply them in current systems.

Adheres to established work schedule and requests PTO in a responsible manner.

Clocks in and out consistently and accurately by using the electronic time clock system for all time worked and does not perform any work when not clocked in.

The Attributes We Seek

Keys to success in this position include a high school diploma and customer service experience. Excel, Outlook, and Adobe knowledge and bilingual a plus.
