The organization is seeking a friendly and organized full-time Front Desk receptionist to be the welcoming face of the Dermatology office. As the first point of contact for patients, you will help create a positive and efficient experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Role may include travel to offices in Dunedin, Safety Harbor & Clearwater.
- Patient Interaction:
Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor. - Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Appointment Management:
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system. - Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar.
- Administrative Support:
Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork. - Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.
- Office Coordination:
Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations. - Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean, organized, and inviting.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other general administrative tasks.
- Patient Comfort:
Provide information and directions to patients, create a comfortable and stress-free environment. - Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to handle patient concerns and inquiries with patience and empathy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects. Anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in a typical day.

Par Range: $16-$19 per hour depending on experience
