About the RoleAt AAA Car Care, we are the largest chain of AAA club‑owned repair facilities in the USA. With 34 stores and counting, we provide a full range of automotive repair and maintenance services to AAA members and non‑members. Every facility is staffed with ASE‑certified technicians who ensure that every vehicle receives the highest quality care.
As a Technician A, you will complete routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, performing basic automotive repair, adjustments and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, tire replacement and general vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities- Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders.
- Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services, electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, drivability diagnostics, etc.
- Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare them for digital vehicle inspection, and complete the inspection.
- Test drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience.
- Work with, mentor and train less‑experienced technicians.
- High School diploma, GED or Technical school certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Five (5) years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.
- Knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources, and able to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance.
- Consistently demonstrate proper use of equipment and tools, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores.
- ASE Certifications (A1–A8) with Master Technician designation or an equivalent combination of certifications.
- ASE certification L1–Advanced Engine Performance Specialist.
- State inspection certificate where applicable.
- AC 609 Certification.

- Pay rates starting at $70,000 annually (hourly rate plus productivity bonus earned for every hour produced over 40 per week plus annual bonus eligibility).
- In addition to base hourly pay, Technician As are eligible for annual incentive opportunities, certification bonus opportunities, and flat‑rate production pay.
- Work‑life balance: closed Sundays, shorter workdays than competitors (close at 6 pm).
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–6:00 pm;
Saturday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm; closed on major holidays.
- May experience loud noises and intermittent odors in the shop environment.
- Position involves standing, walking, and general physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying parts and equipment (up to approximately 80 pounds).
- Must have own tools appropriate for skill level for use in the center.
- Must work in heat; some locations do not have air conditioning but fans are provided.
- Must remain standing on concrete floor for entire shift.
