Job SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager is a key support role that partners with the Project Manager to bring commercial construction projects to successful completion—on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of materials and services while gaining valuable experience in project leadership. This role offers hands‑on involvement in defining project objectives, maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle, and specializing in the exciting world of doors and hardware solutions.
WhatYou’ll Do
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Project Manager in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate project activities and ensure project objectives are consistently met
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide timely updates on project progress
- Manage critical project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Monitor project progress and proactively address issues or delays
- Support the procurement process, including obtaining quotes and preparing purchase orders
- Participate in project meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes
- Support the Project Manager in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Take on various other project management tasks that contribute to your professional growth
- 1–2 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with a focus on doors and hardware
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with construction project management software is a plus

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
