This Medical Centre is looking for additional physicians to join their medical team. The practice offers a relaxed pace of work, an excellent collaborative care model, and a congenial team of health colleagues. Physicians provide on-call services for the hospital. The clinic is a collegial single-group clinic located two kilometers from the hospital site. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Physicians generally work four days a week in the clinic.
The Medical Centre has an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Be one of five physicians serving a population base of approximately 5,000+ people next door to Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital is a 24-hour Level 1 community hospital completed in 2002, with a 24-hour Emergency Room. The facility includes six private Acute Care beds, six stretcher beds in the Emergency Room, and an attached twenty-one bed Residential Care Unit. Hospital services include inpatient and outpatient Laboratory, ECG Service, Radiology, and Physiotherapy. Additional services include Home Care, Home Support, Public Health, Environmental Health & Protection Services, Diabetes and Dietitian Teaching, and Mental Health services through Yellowhead Community Services.
Kamloops is the nearest tertiary referral site. Hospital transportation is supported by an Ambulance Station on the same property as the hospital. In emergency situations, a helicopter and the High Acuity Response Team (HART) are dispatched from Kamloops to transport patients to an advanced centre for additional acute care.
Role and Facility InformationPhysicians will work approximately four days a week in clinic, maintain on‑call duties for the hospital, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The position is full‑time.

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium 20.02%
- Retention Flat Fee $31,025
- Relocation Funding Available $9,000–$15,000 based on move location
- Recruitment Incentive $20,000

Rural CME: max of $5,720.00 /year after 4 years in practice - Rural incentives are subject to change; current rates are confirmed at time of offer
