Adjunct Instructor – Medical Assistant ProgramEHI is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to drive excellence and shape the next generation of Medical Assistants. If you are a visionary leader passionate about advancing healthcare education, this is your chance to make a profound impact!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Utilizes innovative teaching methods, instructional technologies, and experiential learning opportunities to engage students and enhance their understanding of course material.
- Designs and develops instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with program objectives and industry standards.
- Fosters a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and actively participate in their educational journey.
- Conducts engaging and interactive lectures, demonstrations, and presentations to convey medical assisting concepts effectively; utilizes a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Oversees laboratory activities, including hands‑on skill demonstrations, simulations, and practice sessions; provides guidance and feedback to students to enhance their proficiency in clinical procedures.
- Coordinates clinical experiences for students in healthcare settings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining positive relationships with clinical partners.
- Assesses student performance through examinations, projects, presentations, and clinical evaluations; provides constructive feedback to support students’ learning and professional development.
- Offers personalized academic support, mentorship, and career advice to students, helping them navigate challenges, overcome obstacles, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
- Stays updated on advancements, healthcare regulations, industry trends, and developments in the field; incorporates new knowledge and methodologies into teaching practice to enrich the student learning experience.
- Participates in continuing education opportunities to enhance teaching skills and maintain licensure or certification requirements.
- Maintains accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress; assists with program accreditation processes, program reviews, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Collaborates with program directors, faculty members, and healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of instruction and promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the institution.
- Graduate from a program in a MA or closely related field; a diploma is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience providing direct patient care as a Medical Assistant.
- Active, unrestricted industry certification/licensure if work in the field is required.
- 16 hours per week
- Course term is 5 weeks; new sessions begin in continuous cycles.
