- High school diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
- Minimum age 18.
- Prior experience in childcare or passion for early childhood education.
- Meet state-specific guidelines and state and federal requirements including immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training.
- Judgment to identify and address risks.
- Ensure children are safe and everyday needs are met (diapering, dressing, grooming, feeding).
- Model and encourage good social skills, strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Keep children active, entertained, and engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
- Maintain composure, patience, and professionalism.
- Full range of motion: stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.
- Use stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary.
- Supervise by sight and sound.
- Work partly outdoors; temperatures may range from 20°F (wind chill) to 95°F.
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and energy to perform essential functions.
