Role Responsibilities
  • Classroom leadership:
    Partner with teachers to create a stimulating, welcoming space.
  • Curriculum implementation:
    Support teachers in implementing the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapt approach to individual needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
  • Safety first:
    Prioritize a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Family communication:
    Update parents on progress through apps and in-person discussions.
  • Center collaboration:
    Work with staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
  • Relationship builder:
    Cultivate warm relationships with families and colleagues, fostering a learning environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Prior experience in childcare or passion for early childhood education.
  • Meet state-specific guidelines and state and federal requirements including immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training.
Caregiving Skills
  • Judgment to identify and address risks.
  • Ensure children are safe and everyday needs are met (diapering, dressing, grooming, feeding).
  • Model and encourage good social skills, strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Keep children active, entertained, and engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Maintain composure, patience, and professionalism.
Physical Resilience
  • Full range of motion: stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, reach, stretch, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.
  • Use stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary.
  • Supervise by sight and sound.
  • Work partly outdoors; temperatures may range from 20°F (wind chill) to 95°F.
  • Maintain mental and physical alertness and energy to perform essential functions.
