Seeking aContinuous Improvement Engineerto join a premier manufacturing client of ours.
Will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, improving material flow, and solving system and process issues across the plant. The role requires a blend of project engineering, process improvement, and systems thinking — with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Need amaster-level engineerwith a background inprocess engineering, material flow optimization, andproject management for receiving and warehouse operations. The role requires strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, production, and IT teams to address key pain points like bin location errors, inventory movements, and scheduling inefficiencies.
Compensation:$130,000-$140,000
Location:Clearwater, FL (everyday on-site)
- Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across the plant, focusing onmaterial flow,receiving,bin location management, and system-driven product movements.
- Analyze and resolve systemic issues related toinventory accuracy,product traceability, andwarehouse/bin location logic.
- Serve asproject engineerfor improvements related to inbound receiving and material handling processes.
- Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and operations to optimize how systems pull and stage products for production and shipping.
- Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, and root cause analyses to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement sustainable countermeasures to reduce waste, improve productivity, and increase throughput.
- Support implementation of Lean tools (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management) and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Partner with operations and engineering to ensure proper alignment between physical process improvements and ERP/MRP systems.
- Track and report key metrics to measure improvement initiatives and ROI.
- Provide technical support and leadership on cross-functional engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experiencein a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a strong focus oncontinuous improvementandmaterial flow.
- Proven experience withLean,Six Sigma, or similar methodologies;Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge ofmaterial handling systems,ERP/WMS systems, and warehouse layout optimization.
- Experience managing or supportingproject engineeringinitiatives—especially inreceiving or warehouse operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging with cross-functional teams to drive change.
