Position Summary
The Area Leader / Senior Project Engineer will oversee regional operations and technical delivery for Ray Engineering’s restoration services. This role blends project leadership, client management, and team mentorship with a focus on growing our presence in a defined market area. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with deep expertise in building restoration/remediation and proven success managing people, projects, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage restoration projects from assessment through construction administration.
- Act as the regional lead engineer, overseeing project delivery, client engagement, and quality assurance.
- Develop and implement repair and restoration strategies for buildings and structures.
- Collaborate with leadership on regional growth initiatives, including business development opportunities.
- Serve as the primary contact for area clients, building long-term relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Mentor junior engineers and project staff, fostering technical development and professional growth.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and profitability across multiple assignments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and company standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on building restoration, remediation, or forensic work.
- Demonstrated experience managing both projects and people.
- Proven ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
- Business development or “seller-doer” experience a plus.
