Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Power Distribution Engineer with our large power and utilities client in Clearwater, FL. This is a 12‑month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $50.00–$55.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Full‑time, onsite opportunity. CW will be required to support 3 Operations Centers:
Clearwater, St. Pete, and Largo. Day trips required for site visits; personal vehicle will be driven with mileage reimbursed.

• Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of routine problems in area of expertise.
• Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher‑level employees.
• Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches associated with the resolution of routine technical problems.
• Conducts basic engineering studies requiring little evaluation or ingenuity.
• Possesses knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures.
• Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
• Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
• Effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. Requires ≥ 5 years discipline experience.

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Needs great customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills. Will be dealing with some difficult customers and hard conversations in this role.
• Needs distribution design experience and standards knowledge.
• Someone who already works with software like Maximo, ARGUS and Design Lite/BOUD.
• Engineering or Lineman experience.
