Advanced Systems Engineer
As an Advanced Systems Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will work within cross‑functional teams on cutting‑edge projects that transform the way businesses operate.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical execution, risk management, and requirements management for customer missionizations and new product development for the Honeywell Embedded GPS/INS product line.
- Conduct customer flow‑down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, and technical solution development including test strategy, architecture, test design, and development.
- Develop system documents such as system‑level requirements, interface control documents, hardware requirements specifications, printed board assembly design specifications, and software test plans that meet DO‑178/DO‑254 compliance.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases/scripts for complex electronic hardware verification.
- Maintain GPS/INS navigation simulation and covariance analysis tests, Kalman filter measurement design, and automated HWIL/DTS simulation test frameworks.
- Update schedules, monitor development, and manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Generate estimates for system development, including risk, opportunity, and assumptions.
- Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements.
- Manage relocation package as applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, from requirements analysis to verification testing.
- Proficiency in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with DO‑178 and DO‑254 standards and embryo GPS/INS expertise.
- Strong analytical skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and data analytics.
- Solid lab experience troubleshooting electronic circuits and software with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- Knowledge of tools such as DOORS, JIRA, Bit Bucket, Bamboo, and Collaborator.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one (export controls and ITAR compliance).
