Customer Service Rep
Location: Pet Angel, Clearwater, FL
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am-5pm; one Saturday a month
Job Overview: At Gateway, our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are relationship‑driven professionals in a key customer‑facing role. As the primary link between Gateway and our veterinary partners, CSRs build lasting relationships, manage customer needs, and resolve challenges with professionalism and compassion. This position involves driving, active engagement with clinics, and representing Gateway with care and integrity.
What you’ll do- Serve as the main point of contact for veterinary clinics, providing reliable and compassionate service
- Build trusted relationships with clinic staff and families through empathy, respect, and professionalism
- Safely handle pets in the aftercare process with dignity and care
- Manage customer needs and solve problems effectively

- Primary point of contact for veterinary clinics on your route
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinic staff to ensure satisfaction and efficiency
- Educate clients on services, answer questions, and address concerns promptly
- Collect feedback to improve service quality and enhance the overall customer experience
- Address service issues proactively and, when necessary, elevate concerns to the appropriate department
- Assist with administrative tasks related to client accounts, including billing inquiries and service modifications
- Follow company safety guidelines, adhere to store policies, and maintain vehicle and equipment standards
- Maintain best‑in‑class service standards by ensuring proper uniform and vehicle cleanliness
- Monitor inventory levels of promotional materials and request replenishment when needed
- High school diploma or GED required as minimum
- Prior experience in customer service, account management, or sales/route sales desirable
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- Ability to work early morning hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math and computer skills for order placement and inventory tracking
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Empathy and compassion with pet grief support
- Service excellence and white‑glove customer service orientation
- Problem solving, turning obstacles into solutions
- Urgency and precision, responding swiftly while maintaining accuracy
- Sales expertise and strong relationship building
- Multitasking and account management, overseeing multiple clinic accounts
- Pet handling experience; confident with animals
- Independent decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment
- Technical proficiency with CRM software and email communication
- Physical capability to lift and transport animals safely
- Deliver best‑in‑class service at every interaction, embodying the brand promise
- Direct interaction with veterinary clinic staff to support them
- Adapt quickly, solve problems proactively on behalf of clinics and pet parents
- Exposure to emotional aspects of pet loss; require empathy and coping skills
- Flexible scheduling, responding to time‑sensitive clinic needs
- Frequent heavy lifting in a physically active environment
- Maintain professional appearance standards, including uniform and vehicle cleanliness
- Salary: $18 per hour
