Sterile Processing Technician
Tampa Bay Joint and Spine Surgery Center is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician. The Center was formed to offer easily accessible outpatient care to Clearwater and surrounding communities.
The goal of any outpatient surgical visit is to provide patients with a comfortable environment that focuses on their safety, supports surgeons with the latest equipment and experienced staff, and results in successful surgical outcomes. Patients appreciate the ability to recover at home surrounded by family and friends.
The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments, preparing supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
