Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Clinical Research (6-Month Contract) –

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Duration: 6 months

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our research team on a full-time, temporary basis. This role is ideal for a CMA with strong clinical skills and an interest in clinical trials. You’ll play a key role in supporting our active 8-week weight loss study (currently underway with weekly visits) and upcoming flu and COVID-19 studies.
Key Responsibilities- Take and record patient vitals and assist with basic assessments
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sanitation and supply levels
- Support research staff during patient visits by collecting data and specimens
- Accurately document patient information in study records and electronic systems
- Help coordinate participant appointments and ensure adherence to study protocols
- Work closely with the clinical research coordinator and other team members to maintain smooth visit flow
- Active CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred; research experience a plus but not required
- Comfortable with structured, early schedule (7:00 AM start)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
