Director of Community Benefit

Summary:

  • Provides strategic leadership for Bay Care’s Community Benefit program, overseeing the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of initiatives that advance health equity and improve community health outcomes.
  • This role leads Community Benefit staff and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to execute Community Health Needs Assessments and implementation plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate Community Benefit reporting.
  • Leading and participating on internal and external committees, the Director guides systemwide strategies related to the social determinants of health, community engagement, and volunteerism.
  • The position also provides operational leadership for Bay Care’s community health programs and outreach activities, including mobile medical units, screening events, and community-based initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable community impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required Education
    - Masters degree in Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Public Health or Related Field.
  • Required Experience - 8 years of Community Benefit, Community Health or related (public) health program experience and 5 years management experience.
  • Preferred Certification
    - Certified Public Health (CPH)
