* Job Description:

** The Investment Data Mgmt. team is responsible for the overall data governance & integrity of all data-sets pertaining to the Group and Local BU’s investment portfolio, either directly managed or delegated to external fund managers and corporate function in Canada.

The incumbent will take a support role in designing and maintaining accurate data in all investment and accounting systems. This individual will work closely with multiple teams as well as independently to ensure that data housed in our systems is accurate. The individual will also help develop processes that will efficiently identify discrepancies.
** Major accountabilities
**** BAU Data Mgmt. Scope:
*** Support daily BAU data-management activities ranging from administrative activities across Investment & Accounting platforms, account setups/configurations, resolving data quality issues & critical breaks as reported by business, ops and finance groups.
* Experienced with the key functionalities of Bloomberg AIM, i.e. TSOX, EMSX, MFTX, BDS, OMX, PM, CMGR, VMGR, CUTS, LEIA, SSI, OMSA; ideally also with PORT, PRTU, and JMGR.
* Experienced with the key functionalities of Bloomberg – Port E, i.e. Role Mgmt., Portfolio Mgmt, Pricing Mgmt, BBU File Loads, PREP Reporting & JMGR Job Mgmt.
* Experienced with the key functionalities of Clearwater Admin i.e. User creation & monitoring, Role & Access Mgmt. etc.
* Create workflows & maintain adequate documentation for all activities, establish controls & checks with a risk mindset when handling complex/large data-sets.
** Data Quality Workstream:
*** Own the Data Quality Workstream to improve the data reliability.
* Partner closely with Information Owners/Information Stewards/Data Custodians to capture the data rules and implement them as part of oversight function.
* Engage and partner with Firmwide Data Governance function to align and leverage tools, techniques and practices which Asia can benefit from.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including local BUs, portfolio managers, traders, legal and compliance, technology and external vendors to optimize data management processes and support business growth / new initiatives.
** Specialized knowledge
*** Securities knowledge from an investment and accounting prospective.
* Technical skills with Bloomberg AIM & Accounting systems e.g. Clearwater, ePAM.
* Strong technical skills in MS Visio, MS Excel and Automation tools (Xceptor/Alteryx).
* Strong technical skills in databases e.g. SQL/TSQL, Snowflake.
* Understanding of cloud fundamentals across anyone i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP.
* Prior work with investment data management or governance is desired; ideally both however either of them works.
* Prior reporting experience a plus with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense)
* Quick learner, self-initiative and good team player
* Diligent with a sense of ownership to tasks assigned.
** Education and experience
*** Degree in Computer Science, Information System or related subjects.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Banking or Financial Industry.
* Preferably buy-side Asset Manager exposure and if possible specific to an Insurance backed Asset Manager will be ideal but not mandatory.
