The available position is partner level. This is not an associate attorney position. You will not be supervised. The range of pay listed in this job posting is based upon years of experience and trial experience. The starting point for the position is approximately March 1, 2025.

Our law firm has an immediate opening for a criminal defense attorney with felony first chair jury trial experience, felony criminal motion hearing experience, and felony criminal deposition experience. You will have your own caseload of less than twenty-five cases. You will be expected to work with minimal supervision. The geographic location of your caseload will be Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Marion, Polk, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Highlands, and Hardee Counties.

However, the vast majority of the caseload will be in Pasco, Hernando, Marion, and Polk Counties.

A former or current prosecutor or public defender is a plus, but not completely necessary if you have civil trial experience and wish to transition to criminal law and are eager to learn. A spanish speaker is a plus.

While our law firm is not large enough to provide health insurance, we do provide a monthly stipend to cover private health insurance. We also provide a monthly stipend for gasoline expense. After one year, participation in our law firm 401k is available.

In addition to the listed salary range and benefits, we offer a monthly performance bonus structure as well. We offer free parking on office grounds. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated, self-starter who is willing to work hard. The firm employed multiple paralegals and legal assistants, two private investigators, and a sentencing mitigation specialist.
